Travel tips in Grasse and surroundings: Grasse is the world's perfume capital! At the height of the
Côte d'Azur lies the historic town of Grasse. Once, the city was a place for
tanning leather, but that was before Grasse became the world's perfume capital.
Well worth a visit to 1 of the three perfume houses in Grasse, all offering
free guided tours. All perfume houses speak English. - Molinard - Fragonard - Galimard Also feel free to
visit the perfume museum Musee International de la Perfumerie which showcases 3000 years of perfume history.
In the picturesque old town, there are several other museums that are also
worth a visit: - Museum of Art and History of Provence - Musee du Bijou et du
Costume Provencal - Museum of Perfume Above Grasse lies
Riviera Nature. Here there is climbing in the trees for those who want a
little extra adrenaline. Great views of the Riviera from Nice to Fréjus! Check out further on
their website: www.rivieranature.fr Golf clubs: • Golf de Saint-Donat is less than 1 kilometer from our house with

Cannes-Mougins • Golf d'Opio-Valbonne (this is also a hotel, "Chateau de
la Bégude") Mougins Before moving to
Grasse, we lived in the old town of Mougins. It is
located on a small peak between Grasse and Cannes. Mougins
is known for its museums and wonderful restaurants. The Musee
d'art classique de Mougins
is a great museum and we recommend a visit if you visit this village. Of
restaurants we can recommend "L'amandier",
"Resto des Arts", "Le Petit Fouet"
and "Place de Mougins" to name a few. Bon Appétit! Mouans Sartoux The gardens of MIP Le chateau de Mouans Sartoux Old town, with many
nice restaurants and bars. Mouans Sartoux
has a market every Tuesday and Thursday morning in the square of the old
town. Valbonne Every Friday morning
there is a market in Valbonne. There you can buy
everything from delicious French cheeses, to fresh flowers, clothes and
jewelry. Incredibly cozy town and very easy to park by car in a large, free
car park below the village. Recommend to grab a bite to eat at one of these
casual restaurants: "Café les Arcades", "Café Latin" or
"Le relais de la Poste". |
